I have been surrounded by the blossoms of spring. Most of them are in the potted plants that I pick out at the wholesale greenhouses, put in my minivan, drop off on my long driveway, sort, put back in the minivan, deliver to their destination and then plant.  It’s a crazy, wonderful carnival like season.

A break from the real blossoms came when I could spend some time letting my creativity flow.  A few weeks ago I took a 3 day art workshop with an artist and poet from Santa Fe. We learned how to make mini books from one piece of paper.  The books have different configurations depending on how the page is folded and torn.

The paper page is painted first, then folded and torn. How each individual page will turn out is a mystery.  All the backgrounds are in place, ready for added images and words.  This book is becoming my “Blossom”  book.

The peonies are blooming.  Heaven on earth.  Their blossoms inspire me.  I have more to add to my “Blossom” book.  I will share more images and how this book was created in  later posts.

Let the beauty of springs blossoms surround you with creative energy and inspiration.
