The way we bring our light into the world is through our creativity.
Sunset Mandala by Ann Brune – inspired by the night sky. Painted will iridescent paint glazes.
We express our light in all we do. Our light shines most brightly when we are centered and connected to the source of our inner light.

One of my favorite books is titled Creativity, by Matthew Fox. In it he states: “Is any place more intimate than the place where we create?… Creativity is intimate because it is us most truly, spontaneously and totally.”
Spring Bird Mandala – by Martha Schermann painted with iridescent copper paint.
Matthew Fox continues, “Creativity is not a noun or even a verb – it is a place, a space, a gathering, a union, a where – wherein the Divine powers of creativity and the human power of imagination join forces.”
Martha Schermann – Light from self mandala – painted with iridescent paints.
Fox continues, ” Creativity constitutes the ultimate in intimacy, for it is the place where the Divine and the human are most destined to interact.”
Wendell Berry poem mandala by Ann Brune
Fox also states: “We are creators at our very core. Only creating can make us happy, for in creating we tap into the deepest powers and self and universe and the Divine Self.”

Mandala Book – Bees and Flowers
The mandalas in this blog were created during my most recent mandala circle. The shining light of all those who come to my studio and create always inspires me beyond words. Most of the mandalas created here were done with iridescent paint. The photos don’t show all the light reflecting off the pages.
