A Sacred Circle of Creativity
From Mystery to Manifestation & Back Again
Mother Earth, Mandalas, Meditation & Words
Above is the title of my new three-day workshop that takes place Oct. 12- 14. The golden pebble journey, as I call it, always takes place when I create a workshop. Bits of synchronicities and teachers, human and otherwise, appear all of a sudden leading me to find new pieces of wisdom and experience to share with others.
Heart Tree Mandala – Linda Massie
As I prepare for my upcoming three-day workshop, golden pebbles have appeared that lead me down a path to more and more mystery and magic to share with others.
Moon Mandalas- Linda Massie (alcohol inks – created day before solar eclipse)
Moons & Dots Mandalas – Ann Brune (alcohol inks – created day before solar eclipse)
Love of Water Mandalas – Christine Torlina (alcohol inks – created day before solar eclipse)
Last fall I came up with the name for this workshop. For month and months ideas floated in my head about what exactly to do, but nothing felt exactly right. I wasn’t sure how to weave all the parts together.
Flower Mandala & Dots – Ann Brune (alcohol inks – created day before solar eclipse)
Eclipse Mandala – Christine Torlina (created day before solar eclipse)
Then a session with my astrologer a few days before my birthday and a few days before the total solar eclipse opened up a river of new insights and new teachers. These new guides were part of a community of other teachers I have learned from, some as authors and some as people I have studied with.
Path of Eclipse Map Mandala-by me – (created day before solar eclipse)
It turns out the parts of my workshop fit together in a perfect match of what creativity is, from a very large perspective to finding it in the smallest of creation.
I Am Love Mandala – Karen Martinez (alcohol inks)
The cycles of nature, especially the moon, will be our guide during the workshop. The wisdom of seeds as they germinate and grow roots in the darkness and then grow to the light will also be our guide.
Seed Mandala – Linda Massie
And we who live in Eastern Missouri were blessed with the face of the dark side of the moon that revealed herself to us during the total solar eclipse. I’m still processing this image and its meaning.
Eclipse Mandala Purple Sky – Christine Torlina (created day before solar eclipse)
In the last two mandala circles at my studio, we mandala makers were inspired by the solar eclipse and the wisdom of a seed as it grows first in the darkness with expanding roots and then grows to the light.
Floating Mandala – Ann Brune
These are the mandalas and creations from August 20th (day before the solar eclipse) and September 17th.
Gem Mandala – Karen Martinez
I am so grateful to the fellow co-creatives and their creativity is shared in these circles. These times are always “A Sacred Circle of Creativity.” Below is a mandala with a beautiful prayer by Linda Massie. She created it the night before the solar eclipse
Our prayers * intentions * our love * our sadness * sent out in the ripples of water * in streaming of tears * in separateness * yet collective * our hearts must unite * compassion must grow * we need each other * we can honor our differences * we can listen and not judge * our gratitude for our own life and uniqueness * sometimes we are like the sun * shining brightly * growing our food * growing flowers * producing seeds that continue our cycle of life * May those seeds contain love * May we water them with intention and faith that they will grow *
