Flower Fix – In the Cooler
March 2nd, 2015
Oh how I miss flowers and living colors this time of year. A few days ago with new snow on the ground I visited the wholesale flower district in St. Louis. I headed for the coolers full of flowers first.
The roses and carnations are bundled in tight wrappings. Each bundle is pure living color. I wanted to stay a long time in the gigantic cooler, surrounded by the colors.
Next I headed to the greenhouse with potted plants. A begonia full of blooms caught my eye.
And the most hope came from the spring branches cut in some not too far away location. Spring is marching north, I can’t wait for it to arrive.
