Mandalas for Mother – Earth. Honoring our most important Mother – Earth.

Our last Mandala Circle was on Earth Day in April. I lead a guided meditation about the connection of our breath to the rotation of the earth.

In an ancient numerical system, the basic unit was the time of one breath, 4 seconds.  The unit is called prana. Six pranas equals 24 seconds.  Sixty prana equals 240 seconds, or 4 minutes. This is the time for the earth to move 1 degree on its axis.   Breath was experienced as connected to the movement of earth as it cycled through the day.

The mandalas and other art were created  after the meditation. They honor the most important Mother of us all, Mother Earth.  They also are an honoring of the creativity we all give birth to.  I always feel honored to share these gifts of creativity with others.
