My friend Sharon from Kent England has come and gone.  I miss her and the essence of England.  These photos help remind me of the first time I feel in love with that essence. They are from my trip with my first camera, way before I knew Sharon.  I traveled alone with my camera as companion. These scanned slides are the real deal, no fuzzy app to make changes, no vintage manipulations, just what I and my camera saw.  Funny how at the time I wished they were “clearer”, and now the rage is “old” photos like these.  I like them just the way they are.  Enjoy the view.

I love these pictures. They truly capture the feeling of England, the civility as well as the humour. Thank you for sharing them. Now I’ll go fix a cuppa.

With a 6 month old and a 2 1/2 year old, I could definitely use more paitence! I’ve been reading Everyday Blessings: The Inner Work of Mindful Parenting and I really want to try to make meditation a daily practice in my life.
