Shared Mandalas – Children & Adults
August 7th, 2016
I love how mandalas inspire kids and adults. This blog shares mandalas from children as young as preschoolers to adults as young at heart as any child. That is the beauty of mandalas, they help center us into that place of childlike wonder and inspiration.
Christine Torlina’s family came for a visit from California. The children created mandalas along with Christine. Here is their shared creativity.
These ducks, flowers and other shapes are held in the embrace of a mandala circle.
Frog and tadpoles in the water, surrounded by green. The center frog on a heart.
The Four Directions.
Another Four Directions.
And another Four Directions.
The family created an art exhibit to showcase their creations.
Karin in Wisconsin sent me this daylily mandala, inspired by her garden flowers blooming in July.
Martha Schermann just started creating mandalas. She works at an environmental education center and has a deep connection to trees.
Leaves also inspire Martha in this mandala.
There is a sweetness and wildness with the words and images Martha created.
Ann Brune always brings a calm meditation in her colors and shapes. Her greens and blues soothe our souls.
This serene landscape from Ann is deep in its simplicity.
Karen Martinez was inspired by my guided mediation on the sun and stars.
Karen also created what will be a mobile with two interlocking circles. Her inspiring words will move in the breeze and light.
Part of the other sides of Karen’s mobile, again with inspirations written in gold.
Let these mandalas be an inspiration to all of us, who are always young at heart.
I thank all these mandala makers for sharing their creativity from across the internet, or across the table in our mandala circle.
