The Gifts of Our Souls 100 Days for Mandalas – Session Five – Week 2

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.”

This is the second week of 100 Days for Mandalas. It is a time to be inspired to delve into the deep creativity that reveals the mystery of who we are and guides us on our life journey. It is a time to create mandala images and words.  It is an online retreat that fits into your 100 Days. Here is the invitation from the first session that explains it all.

THEME FOR SESSION FIVE – The first three weeks of this session have “MAGIC” as the theme.  Last week I shared a poem titled magic (poem is in blue on last week’s blog). This week , in blue type, are the wise words from Marianne Williamson about our fear of owning our light.

MAGIC – of knowing the gifts of our Soul

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light,
not our darkness that most frightens us.

We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.

We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.

It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously
give other people permission to do the same.

As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

POEMS & QUOTES

– Please read this poem by Marianne Williamson in blue type and let it be an inspiration.

MEDITATION – The guided meditation centers and quiets.  Enter into the sacred space of the mandala circle to let the colors, shapes and whatever you put into the mandala guide you. The marks you make are perfect, whatever they are.

Here is the meditation for Magic –MANDALA MEDITATION- MAGIC

MANDALA PROMPT – What are your fears about your truth and greatness?  Do you make yourself smaller for others?  Are you friends with your unique gifts? Do you nurture them?  Let thoughts and feelings guide you in you mandala creation. Do you let you light shine, so the light of others can shine?

WRITING PROMPT – An easy poem to create in an acrostic poem.  Take a word, any word from the poem, and write the letters one on top of each other, down a page. This week I used the word powerful and wrote a poem/prayer and wrote it on vellum paper over the mandala:

P lease realease my fears

O f those things that block my soul

W hat I want to be is a beacon for

E verlasting light, for truth that

R eveals all our brilliance, our

F ire, our passion, our

U nique souls that radiate

L ove and power and peace for all

SHARING MANDALAS – these mandalas were created by my fellow mandala makers during a mandala circle a few weeks ago.  I love the creativity and light they share.
