The bright watercolor fantasy flower mandala* paintings were created by Linda to bring the energy and power of flowers and mandalas into living and work spaces. The original art, fine art giclee paintings, prints and greeting cards enliven homes, offices, school rooms, spas, yoga studios, massage rooms, hospitals and other places of healing and growth.

Linda describes how these paintings came about: “Flowers are my passion and my life. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and created art most of my life.  Eighten years ago I put down my paint brush to devote full time to designing gardens. Six years I could no longer live without creating art.  I wanted to create images that came from my imagination but were inspired by the amazing details and colors of flowers, my many years practicing meditation, and the joy and challenge of watercolor.

The art work I created were mandala shapes.  Mandalas are sacred circular images used as a form of prayer and meditation. Flowers are one of nature’s most powerful mandala shapes. These paintings are meant to inspire, transform and heal by bringing the power and beauty of flowers and the impact of mandala shapes to people's lives.

I begin each painting with a meditation that inspires a quick sketch of the shapes and forms.  I then transfer that sketch onto a large 300 lb. watercolor paper square.  I find the center point and draw the shapes free hand so they fit within the implied circular format.  I paint with the paper flat on the floor so large areas can be saturated with water and color. 

I wanted others to experience the power of creating mandalas, so I developed a unique process called Morning Mandalas and Meditation that is an easy way to connect with a person’s creative center and create a mandala.  Adults and children from all walks of life including scientists, counselors, teachers and artists have taken this workshop. No art experience or talent needed.  Each person finds a powerful way of tapping into their creativity and inner wisdom when they create mandalas."

Original Paintings & Giclée Paintings
The original paintings are done on 300 pound watercolor paper at 22"x22".

The fine art gicless are digital images of the original 22”x 22” watercolors. The giclee images are exact matches of the intense color and detail of the original. The giclee paintings are limited editions, on 100% rag Somerset watercolor paper with archival inks. They can be created in large or small sizes.
