Meditation has been a part of Linda’s life for over 30 years when she began a mantra meditation practice. At age twenty-two she became a teacher of Transcendental Meditation. She attended months long meditation courses and taught people to meditate throughout the U.S. and Europe.
Guided imagery meditation is another form of meditation that Linda practices and uses in her garden work and mandala classes. Linda used this technique to bring out the deep creativity and wisdom of her garden design clients and those she teaches in her Morning Mandalas & Meditation art classes.
Guided meditation is a gentle type of meditation were a person listens to soft music and a soothing voice to help visualize, or imagine ways to relax, connect with creativity deep inside, find inner wisdom and bring balance and healing to life. These guided meditations brings an added dimension and highlight to her work with others.
Guided meditation works with imagination, visualization and feelings. These are the greatest gift humans have. To “see” something in the mind’s eye is to be connected with the creative process. Imagining and visualizing as someone speaks and guides a person to a safe, comfortable, deep place of connection at the core of creativity, wisdom and healing is a transforming process that has positive physical and emotional outcomes. Guided imagery is used with great success by professional athletes and patients healing from surgery. It is also used to help with relaxation, stress reduction, manifesting dreams and helping bring the unique gifts each person has into the world.
Linda offers several guided meditation experiences. In her garden design work and mandala workshops meditations is part of the experience. The one-on-one sessions are offered in two ways.
One-on-One Guided Meditations. Morning Mandalas
This session involves connecting with the creative source, learning how to create mandalas and journaling. A description of this process is in the art section.
One-on-One Guided Meditations. Awakening Dreams
This session involves guided meditation and journaling to clarify what dreams, challenges and goals are ready to be transformed. A second guided meditation works with intentions to manifest those specific dreams.
